Ins his response he said that he is a car guard going to Platteklip gorge. He turn back and attempted to open vehicle doors and boot (Hyundai- white, registertion number: CA 743 873). Weapons of break in materials were found in his position. The vehicle sustain no damages. Sgt. Solomans took him to Saps station.

Cableway staff and MOD Lincoln intervened and defused the situation by seperating the two groups and sending them with different cablecars and giving them warnings to avoid further altercations on the mountain. The situation was monitored until the one group came down to lower station.
